So on New Year's, I put on Facebook that 2012 holds many exciting things for us. But, really, it's other peoples' news this year that has us ready to pee our proverbial pants.
First thing's first. My sister, who has been engaged since her 24th birthday - and in that time I've gotten engaged AND married AND America elected a black president, has FINALLY SET A DATE for her wedding. But wait, yinz. It gets better.
Her WEDDING is going to be in LAS VEGAS!!!! AND! I get to be the maid of honor! I prefer to call it the Best Lady, though, because really I guess I'm a matron since I'm married, but GOSH THAT SOUNDS TERRIBLE. AND! I get to plan her bridal shower. She didn't want one at first for understandable reasons but come on. When am I ever going to get to be Best Lady again? Never, that's when.
As if that's not enough for one year...

That's right! My lovely sister-in-law is pregnant with my first niece/nephew (NOT TO MENTION Zach's brother's CHILD)! We aren't sure what it is yet - but I'm going with girl. She has already been blessed with the best little boy in the world.
So anyway - this year has the ingredients to make it the best. Not only is my sister getting married, we have very close family friends who are getting married too. And Zach's college friend. And my internet friend - who I met on the internet. And in real life.

Sounds like you have an awesome year ahead of you!! This year my husband and I have been invited to 7 weddings! Craziness! I get to be the maid of honor at one and he is a groomsman in another....I also don't like "Matron" of honor. I think I may use Lady too =P
